It keeps bread very fresh.It's a little tight for 2 full-size loaves of bread though and the packaging needs to be better.Mine had a little dent in the front panel when it arrived, but it wasn't bad enough to make me want to ship it back.All in all, I am pleased with this box. fast forward to 2009 - It is still used everyday and still looks great on my counter.Easy to keep clean.
