(More customer reviews)I bought this for my wife on impulse for Christmas. Our existing bread box was a hunk of junk with the door constantly breaking. I almost didn't give it to her as a present because I didn't think she would think it was special (kind of like giving her a vacumn cleaner). Much to my surprise, she was delighted!
The breadbox's matte finish matches perfectly with the stainless steel appliances we have in our kitchen. The door opening mechanism is very can very well engineered. A simple push down causes the door to roll up. It secures just as easily. The box easily holds a couple of loaves of bread and some bagels or rolls. Best of all, it keeps the bread fresh and free of mold. Obviously it won't keep it fresh forever, but I have noticed a difference in the quality of the bread stored in the Brabantia. All in all this is very well made and I expect to get many years of use out of it.
